<p><strong><em>1. Mental &amp; emotional</em> </strong><br />
What we think about ourselves become our feelings. Our thoughts trigger chemical releases in our brain which effect our emotions. Developing our love muscle for ourselves in crucial for our success. If we are thinking inferior thoughts or unworthy thoughts it creates a cycle of thoughts and feelings and hormones making us turn to food to feel better about ourselves, which is short lived as then we don’t feel good about ourselves for over-indulging and the cycle continues.<br />
Stress increases the hormone cortisol which isinterrupted by the body as famine and the body chemistry changes to lay down as much fat as possible…cortisol also increases appetite. (next week we are going to address stress). Depression is associated with low serotonin which is the hormone to feel happy. It is also associated with deficient levels of B vitamins, low zinc and causes low energy and comfort eating.<br />
Your brain is responsible to send messages to your organs for function.<br />
Your brain is also responsible for producing good feelings, happiness, satisfaction, hopefulness, self-worth and good self-esteem. It does this by producing certain chemicals, or hormones called serotonin, dopamine, endorphins, and gabber.<br />
When these hormones are absent or in low supply you will feel ‘blue’, inferior, depressed, irritable, anxious, worthless, hopeless, and of course this makes you eat more – right!<br />
Eating dairy and wheat can also cause depression for many people and they are completely unaware of it.<br />
Foods with toxins and chemicals like preservatives interfere with our brain, in fact high inflammatory foods and high sugar foods damage the hypothalamus part of your brain. This causes Neuro-degeneration and Neuro-degenerative diseases…it actually destroys cells and neurons in the brain.<br />
Your body chemistry can become out of balance because of your hormones. Hormones are your body’s chemical messengers that are released into your blood stream and give orders to your cells to do certain things.<br />
Your body creates and releases certain hormones at certain times to perform certain functions.<br />
If your brain is not functioning right and there is a chemical imbalance, how can you have good physical health?</p>
<p><strong><em>2. Appetite Satiety Centre Working (hypothalamus)</em></strong><br />
Leptin is the hormone that decreases appetite and gives us a full feeling. It is made in the fat cells. However, inflammatory foods cause Leptin resistance and we are not getting the full messages.<br />
What are the inflammatory foods?<br />
Sugar, fructose, artificial sweeteners, processed foods, bad fats<br />
How to heal the hypothalamus:<br />
• Stop inflammatory foods<br />
• Heal with nutrients and or supplements<br />
• Healthy oil in diet increases leptin<br />
• Detox the liver<br />
<strong><em>Ghrelin + others are made in the stomach and increase the appetite.</em></strong></p>
<p><strong><em>3. Alkaline environment</em></strong><br />
Eating to many acidic causing foods creates an acidic body which means the blood is acidic. Ideally our blood should be slightly alkaline. We achieve this through eating vegetables and fruits and avoiding acidic forming foods. Please refer to the chart provided to advise which foods are acidic or alkaline.<br />
Why is it important to have an alkaline environment?<br />
An alkaline environment allows normal body function absolutely necessary for the body to resist and fight disease.<br />
When there is too much acid the acids must be neutralized, our alkaline reserves are used leaving the body in a weakened and vulnerable state.<br />
When you have high levels of acid in your blood it can cause weight gain, obesity, diabetes, low energy, chronic fatigue.<br />
The dangers of Acidosis (over acidic body)<br />
I cannot stress how important it is to correct an over acidic body through diet and lifestyle.<br />
This condition forces the body to borrow minerals from vital organs and bones to neutralize the acid and safely remove it from the body.<br />
This is such a strain on the body and can suffer severe damage due to high acid body. Sadly this condition can go unnoticed for years.<br />
Problems mild acidosis can cause:<br />
• Weight gain, obesity and diabetes<br />
• Low energy and chronic fatigue<br />
• Burning urine<br />
• Bladder and kidney conditions (kidney stones.)<br />
• Acceleration of free radical damage (some suggest contributes to cancerous mutations)<br />
• Premature aging<br />
• Osteoporosis, weak brittle bones<br />
• Joint pain, aching muscles and lactic acid build-up<br />
Over acidity is very common today mostly due to the Western diet<br />
The Western diet is full of acid-producing processed foods like white flour, sugar and drink acid-producing beverages like coffee, soda and soft drinks. Drugs are acid-forming, artificial chemical sweeteners are extremely acid forming.<br />
Stress will cause acidity in the body.</p>
<p><em><strong>4. Absorption of nutrients and minerals</strong></em><br />
Most Australians are deficient in zinc and iodine. The brain needs zinc to make serotonin. Zinc is important for depression, sex hormones, immune system, insulin. We need iodine for the thyroid hormones.</p>
<p><em><strong>5. Balanced diet with water and fibre</strong></em><br />
The large gut functions on water and fibre. The body needs 1.5 litres just to stay alive.</p>

<p><strong>The Problem With Milk</strong></p>

<li>Cow’s milk contains a protein called Casein which is what a lot of people are intolerant to. There are two types of casein – alpha and beta-caseins. Beta caseins are divided into two types A1 &amp; A2 milk. Most of today’s milk contains both types of beta-casein protein, A1 and A2. A2 milk comes from cows specially selected to produce A2 beta-casein protein alone rather than both. (Although it still has casein and lactose).</li>
<li>Lactose is the main sugar found in cow’s milk which some people have intolerance to an inability to digest.Yogurt is made from milk but seems to create fewer problems, maybe because it is fermented.<br />
Foods with dairy:<br />
Breakfast cereals, muesli bars, energy bars, cereal bars, breadcrumbs, breads, crackers, deli meats granola, vegetarian meat products.<br />
<strong> So what can you do?</strong> Replace cow’s milk with rice, almond, oat milk. Replace cheese with goats or sheep cheese.</li>

<p>The wheat we eat today is not like the wheat our ancestors ate. Today our wheat is genetically modified and bred to have higher gluten levels to make it easier to mass produce loaves. It is full of preservatives, insecticides and has been fumigated.<br />
`Many people are intolerant of today’s wheat which is specifically grown to be high in gluten but may not ever realize it is the wheat (the gluten) that is causing it. Because the symptoms may not show up immediately, even a day after eating it they just think “there must be something wrong with me” and just live with it. The symptoms can range anywhere from bloating, recurrent mouth ulcers, abdominal pain, irritable bowel, fatigue, irritability, poor digestion, headaches, food cravings, sinus problems, acne, lethargy, depression and weight gain. (Fatigue is the commonest symptom of gluten intolerance).<span id="more-370"></span><br />
Foods with wheat gluten:<br />
bread, rye bread, pasta, cake, cookies, pasties, muffins, pies, crackers, biscuits, white sauces made from flour, candy, lollies, ice-cream, processed foods, soups, noodles.<br />
Wheat may also be used in make-up, mascara, hair products and body products.<br />
It takes 3 weeks to get gluten out of our system<br />
So what can you do?<br />
Buy organic whole wheat seeds and grind your own flour…most problems occur with the wheat protein gliadin. Some people can tolerate wheat without the preservative 282. Other people can tolerate wheat types with lower gluten levels such as spelt, barley, oats and rye.<br />

<p>The negative beliefs block you from seeing and being the truly magnificent you that you are.  These beliefs block you by creating thoughts, feelings, words and actions that drive you to do what you do. The negative beliefs are associated with fear, loss, hurts, pain, and become our resources and our defences.   Most of these beliefs were formed when we were young through experiences, conditioning you and keeping you exactly where you are, stuck in weight, finances, relationship problems, etc? So How do you get free?<span id="more-319"></span></p>
<p>Your mind is 95-98% unconscious and 2-5% conscious and did you know that you are only aware of what you give your attention to? But most importantly did you know that you are not your mind? That’s right you are not your thoughts, your brain, your mind or your emotions.<br />
You are an incredibly created being with an eternal spirit. In the inner chambers of who you are is an infinite source of wisdom, love, wealth, knowledge, creativity, opportunity…in fact everything you need is right there, within you at this very moment!<br />
<strong>But here’s the snag!</strong><br />
To the degree you believe this is the degree in which you will experience it. What do I mean by that? What you believe you are is who you are, in other words if you have inner beliefs that say, “I am not good enough”, or “I am unlovable”, or “I wasn’t meant to be wealthy” or any belief that is contrary to the TRUTH, then it is as though the TRUTH does not exist for you.<br />
You see, your beliefs (your truths) will over-ride The Truth.<br />
Having Freedom at the Core means eliminating the negative, self-doubt, destructive beliefs and living from the Truths that will Set You Free.<br />
Living from our potential becomes very difficult and we often have no awareness of what is actually blocking us!<br />
These beliefs are so deep in our unconscious that we are usually unaware of them. We need to get them into our awareness, our conscious mind so we can change them.</p>
<p>Is your unconscious brain conditioning you and keeping you exactly where you are, stuck in weight, finances, relationship problems, etc?<br />
Negative beliefs and habit clog up our brains power, modern neuroscience has shown us we all have unconscious beliefs and habits that demotivate and block us. In the past it was believed that the brain was hard wired but the latest discoveries, the discovery of the decade, is brain plasticity. This means that you can change your brain to higher levels of thought and performance. You can overcome the programmed doubts, fears, anxiety, low self-worth and all the old negative habits, stories and beliefs of not feeling smart or good enough.<br />
All the negative limitations and results that are programmed internally will remain until you change the script. Until you change the script nothing will change. You will never outperform your old negative habits, or hidden self-image or your beliefs until you create a new script…a masterpiece of achievement, a new program.<br />
What is the cost to you if you don’t change the script – how much stress, debt, anxiety, broken relationships will this cost?<br />
Beliefs are Neuro-pathways and actions necessary to become a new reality.<br />
How many times have you said or heard it said, “seeing is believing”? or “I will believe it when I see it”? Neuroscience has found that seeing and believing is the wrong way around. There is a part of the brain called the reticular cortex that filters in and filters out what you believe and are focus on.<br />
We believe, then we see. When you deeply believe a thought, first you start to develop new Neuro-pathways and actions necessary to become a new reality. You don’t have to believe it straight away, as you focus on it you develop the new Neuro-pathways which will impregnate and infuse in you.<br />
This is much deeper than sheer will power and determination. “as a man thinketh so he is”.<br />
Start with your identity<br />
How are you seeing yourself? What are your beliefs about what you can do and cannot do? What are your beliefs about who you are? Are you smart enough, are you good enough? are you enough? Do you deserve success?<br />
Successful people have a clear identity. They seek to live all their life in concurrency and alignment with that identity. Understand your identity and purpose and everything will flow from that.<br />
Your purpose<br />
Why are you here? What is your passion, your love? What are your talents, your abilities?<br />
Your mission<br />
What is your specific assignment? What is the strategy to achieve that assignment? Your mission further defines your purpose.<br />
Your vision<br />
What does the accomplishment of your mission look like? Where are you going? Who are you becoming. A vision is the ideal picture in your mind. A vision is the ideal, it’s the goal. It’s the dream. A clear vision helps to empower your purpose and gives meaning to your mission.<br />

<p><strong>Will the real you please stand up</strong></p>
<p>What on earth does that mean I wondered. Honestly, it’s going to take more than that! First, fear and doubt will have to sit down, then I will need to uncoil shame and guilt from my inner most thinking, dismantle every victim and blame game my mind plays and reprogram my being into abundance, joy, health, peace and hope. Yes, I knew what needed to be done, I could give strategies to others and encourage them to the cows come home but I wasn’t convinced strategies could really bring a person into all they can really be. There are some things that seem to get entangled into our Being</p>
<p><span id="more-1"></span> through childhood experiences, beliefs and even inherited stuff from previous generations. The real me had being trying to “stand up” for years but there seemed to be a power that kept me locked into a powerless cycle of defeat.<br />
I would have little breakthroughs and victories but then something would knock me bank into the shadows. I could almost sense a voice saying, “you are not allowed to come up here”. This feeling of being “stuck” and unable to breakthrough went on for years and kept me in a place of frustration and condemnation. This whole cycle was very deceptive because there would be times of making progress, moving forward in hope only to cycle back to been “stuck”.<br />
I tried visualisation, self-actualising, affirmation, positive thinking, goal setting, vision boards, writing out my values, mission statements and personal mantras, but I discovered at the core of my Being a power greater than any of these things…a power called my belief system, which was “disqualified”, “you are not enough”.<br />
As long as I didn’t try to push these boundaries life was fine, however there was another voice in me, another power that whispers to my soul. “you can come up here out of the shadows into the light”. This whisper was the voice of my dreams, aspirations, and desires. This voice of Truth, the voice of Purpose would say “you can do this, you have a message to impact people, to set them free and bring hope, healing and lead them out of the shadows into the light of who they truly are!<br />
And as you read this, I am wondering you too are hearing the voice of truth whisper to your soul, “there is a hope for the future, a purpose for which you are being awakened to and a greater light for you to walk into!”</p>
<p>Its time to break out of the shadows and into your Best Life, empowered for Purpose and that&#8217;s why you are here!</p>
